Raising Money for Ty Hafan

Anyone living in Penarth or running to catch the train from Penarth Station could not have missed our very special Christmas snow puppy window in aid of Ty Hafan.  He was certainly the talk of the town pulling a sledge full of prezzies, & was visited by both adults & children as an ‘unofficial puppy’ on the trail. Children loved the fact he was dressed up as Rudolph, complete with a red nose & antlers, & knitted bobble hat.  Angelina Hall & Cathy O’Doherty had planned the window a few months in advance, & kindly Ty Hafan had lent the snow pup.

We also sold the ‘paint your own’ snowdog kits on behalf of the charity, alongside a donation to attend a painting course in the New Year.  We had both an adult & children’s painting session last weekend, expertly guided by Professional Penarth artist Sheridan Ward.  Great fun was had by all, & amazing individual dogs left the building!  Well done all!

We also had a very special delivery of a bespoke painted ceramic puppy to raffle by internationally acclaimed Penarth artist Terry Setch.  This was drawn last weekend by Terry himself, & aptly enough, Joseph, aged 10 years old was drawn out of the hat.  He picked him up earlier this week, & was very pleased.

The raffle, workshops and sales of snowdogs raised a total of £885 for Ty Hafan.  We have 7 snowdogs left to sell, so anyone looking for the last opportunity to buy one, look no further than Glass by Design at 1 Station Approach, Penarth, CF64 3EE.  Phone to reserve!  02920705317
